Dr. Katherine Tibor

After hurting my back during high school, it only made sense for me to visit the chiropractor. He managed to link my scoliosis to my back pain. After regular adjustments, corrective and rehabilitative exercises, I was back to my regular routine and feeling fantastic!

This experience hooked me on chiropractic. Now I try to see my chiropractor as often as I can. It might be once a week or every two weeks - even if I'm not in pain!

My philosophy

As a licenced Doctor of Chiropractic, I enjoy helping people of all ages reap the benefits of chiropractic care; I love seeing them live happier and healthier lives.

Chiropractic keeps your whole body in balance by ensuring the nervous system is free of stress and interference. This gives you higher energy levels and better moods. It allows you to feel more focused and motivated at work or when you're doing your day-to-day tasks. Chiropractic helps you feel better, move faster, and function at your best potential.

Kinds of patients and conditions I treat

I treat people of every age. I have patients who can barely walk through the door, as well as patients who are pain-free and want to optimize their health.

I commonly treat people with sports injuries, disc herniations, repetitive/overuse strains, headaches, neck pain, and general stress/tension.

Since I am trained in gait analysis, I help those in need of customized orthotics

I help pregnant women who are experiencing low back pain and leg pain, and who want help to ease the upcoming birthing process.

Children are always a delight to treat! Chiropractic adjustments help to curb scoliosisincrease  focus and concentration at school, or assist with digestive problems

My training and areas of specialty

I completed my undergraduate degree in Human Biology at the University of Toronto in 2002 and immediately started my chiropractic education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). During my internships, I gained extensive experience with sports injuries. I was also worked with chronic pain patients through the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.

I worked at different chiropractic facilities after graduating from CMCC in 2006 and joined the Balanced Health Care team in 2007. I became the clinic director in 2009.

I make it a point to continue my education through seminars and courses.

I am certified in Active Release TechniquesGraston Technique and Webster Technique.

Because I love treating pregnant women and children, I am working towards my certification in pregnancy and pediatrics care from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

I am a member of the North York Chiropractic Society, through which I learn new chiropractic techniques and new professional protocols and procedures, and gain exposure to different ways to better serve my patients.

I am also a member of the Ontario Chiropractic Association and participate in their workshops/events throughout the year.
